Aims
Aims of Harrow Sports Council
The aims of the Harrow Sports Council, which has been in existence for over 25 years, are:
- To provide the Borough and any other interested organisations with a body of opinion reflecting the views of local sports interests on matters concerning the development and future planning of sport and recreation and their facilities within the Borough.
- To assist with the dissemination of information on sports facilities and opportunities for participation.
- To maintain an up-to-date record of sporting organisations within the Borough.
- To provide a framework for networking and communication across the sector.
- To promote sports equity within the HSC membership and across the voluntary sports sector in Harrow.
The above aims shall not be interpreted so as to conflict with the objects of any of the bodies represented on the Harrow Sports Council. It will seem that summarised, the prime purpose of the Harrow Sports Council is to provide a vehicle for representatives of all sports within the London Borough of Harrow to meet together to discuss sport and recreation in general, and to make appropriate representations to the Borough.
