HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY STATEMENT

The HSC (Harrow Sports Council) will ensure that all steps, that are reasonably practicable, will be taken to ensure the health and safety of all participants in events organised under the remit of HSC.

HSC will take every reasonable step to reduce hazards to a minimum, but all volunteers must appreciate that their own safety and that of others depends upon their individual conduct and vigilance.

HSC will take every reasonable step, to ensure that in the transportation of competitors to and from sports events and while competitors are taking part in sports events, they will be adequately supervised.

If an accident does take place, it is the responsibility of the person in charge of that event, on behalf of HSC, to inform the Secretary of HSC of the accident, within 48 hours of the accident taking place. The Secretary will keep a record of accidents.
