Welcome to the Harrow Sports Council

Harrow Sports Council is a voluntary organisation that links the voluntary sporting organisations in Harrow with the Sports and Cultural Services Department of the London Borough of Harrow.  It is an organisation that consists of volunteers from local sporting organisations, who meet about 6 times a year, with the aim of improving and developing sport in Harrow. 

The Sports Council receives a grant from the London Borough of Harrow, via a service level agreement, to run its operations. It also awards grants to several sports clubs in Harrow, to help finance their coaching programmes.  We also have a small grants fund, which assists local sports people to develop their sporting skills and to attend representative engagements for the County, England or GB.

Many local sporting personalities have benefited in the past, and have gone on to do very well at National level.  We very much want to widen the circle of people who attend HSC meetings to include representatives from sports not yet represented on HSC and also representatives from sports providers in the Borough.  If you would like to be involved with, or would like more information about Harrow Sports Council please contact me.
